it’s been a very, very busy week here at work although, finally, ngayon ay makakahinga na din panandali. so anong gagawin pang-release ng stress sa trabaho? eh, d gumawa ng “blog”. 😀
our blog (or photoblog) was made to touch base with friends/relatives whom we don’t get to see that often… or don’t get to see at all anymore. it’s always nice when recipients (chosen few that they are) respond to our blog/photoblog. such was the case with our last photoblog issue.
a friend who has migrated to australia replied to our photoblog with a very interesting question, “tanong ko nga pala kung anong klaseng dslr yung camera ng inyong photographer?” buti na lang alam ko isasagot sa katanungan nya. hehe. a few email exchanges later, i learned that this friend of ours is aspiring to be a photographer. bakit kaya? na-inspire ba sya sa shots ni fol? na-inspire ba sya sa photo contest entries namin? 😀 whatever the reason, gusto daw nya gawing sideline ang photography.
interestingly enough, parang ganun din plano ko. ang pagkakaiba lang… kung sya sa photography, ako naman, sa videography. i got interested in video editing late 2004. i was in-charge of our company Christmas party (yes, sideline ng pagiging inhinyero. 😆) and we had an avp made by a freelancer videographer/photographer. pa-minsan-minsan, binibisita namin ang paggawa ng avp at nakita ko personally kung pano ginagawa ito. since mabilis naman ako maka-pickup pano gumana mga software (i learned photoshop, autocad… etc via help lang), mabilis ko din naintindihan pano gamitin ang sony vegas (a non-linear editor). kaya after nun, i got hold of a sony vegas software, installed it at kung may free time… kinakapa-kapa ko sya. soon, i got the hang of it and before i know it, instead na magpagawa ang samsung sa labas ng mga avp, eh sa akin na lang pinapagawa (for free. daya, no? 😕). ok lang, got to hone my skills naman. tapos during wedding preps, i got enamored even more with this videography thing kasi ang lulupit naman kasi ng mga videos nina jason & bob. dun ko din nalaman na ang layo-layo ko pa sa kanila. 😆 anyway, if ever, i won’t go full-time naman. like our friend in australia, sideline rin lang… and if that doesn’t work, i can always design invitations. 😉
balik sa usapang photography. i’ve been playing around with our point-and-shoot camera lately. wala lang… just exploring its limited features. hehe. share ko lang mga shots na kinuha ko… some of which were taken habang walang magawa sa bahay. hehe. to our friends who are into photography, nag-sha-share lang, ha. wag lait-lait-in. 😛
details. mula noong na-discover ko ang “macro” feature ng aming cam, i always try to look for something na mukhang interesting kunan ng malapitan. na-inspire din ako sa mga wedding details shots ng mga wedding photographers. 🙂

my wife’s favorite magazine. interesting lang how the magazine name was spelled if you stack the issues chronologically. colorful too. 🙂

one of my own personal favorite shots. taken during our date during selle’s bday. 😉

isa pa sa favorite shots ko. so simple yet interesting pa din. pede na din pang-commercial. 🙂

a persian rug. up close, kitang-kita ang intricacy ng pagka-gawa. the pink-ish pattern does add interest to the predominantly yellow patterns.

la lang. tiles up close. sometimes patterns need not be complicated. maganda naman, dba? 😀
candid… or photojournalism. capturing a moment as it happens. dapat always on the lookout because picture perfect moments won’t wait.

gonuts, anyone? 🙂

gustong-gusto namin tong shot na to. captured the excitement and enthusiasm of a child… and the reason for it. 🙂
black and white. a play of light and shadows.

twilight zone? 😯

my pretty, pretty wife… need i say more. 😉
photo artistry… kunwari. 😆

a photographer once said, “always keep your horizon horizontal.” wala, eh. matigas ulo ko, eh. 😀 parang mas ok kasi na naka-tilt, dba? 🙂

sometimes, we have to look for natural “frames”.

i was experimenting with our cam and look what happened. pwede din pala mag-effects sa point-and-shoot lang na cam. hehe. pretty cool, no? 🙂
ayan. photos from an amateur videographer. yah, i know… stick to videography na lang ako. 😉
until the next photoblog… have a blessed day. 🙂
